Parking at Salthill / Monkstown

I need to park in Salthill / Monkstown tomorrow for the day - I understand it's a euro an hour or 3 for the full day...........if I pay at 6am, will the ticket say valid till 9am or will the person that checks the car park during the day assume that the 3 hours is meant for the full day????:confused:

usually when you put in the full amount the machine just prints a ticket for the whole day. in that case the pay and display starts at 7am.
