Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,
I'll be racing in Lahinch on 5th Dec and looking for a Double room hostel (Don't want a hotel as i'll be soaking wet coming back) for thr 4th & 5th Dec 2009

Can anyone recommend me somewhere? I'm looking for a mix between comfort and value really... don't want to be somewhere dingy as i'll have the GF with me, en-suite double room essential.

    Thanks in advance folks :)

I wouldn't worry too much about being soaking wet going into a hotel, especially that time of the year, just explain to them when you are booking that you are going surfing and you might be wet if that's ok, I wouldn't say there'd be any problem at all with that

There is a hostel beside the church. Its the only real hostel. Its called Lahinch Hostel. I don't know if they have En-Suites. Your best bet is a B&B i'd say. it'll be about €20-25 PP.

Thanks for that, we ended up going with Lahinch Hostel @ 17.50 each per person per night, private room

Hi John, did you check out the West Coast Lodge in Lahinch... its a new hostel and its supposed to be great. I havent been there myself but know people who stayed there and they were very impressed... I know you mention you have something booked but may be worth checking out! Just another option I suppose!

30 euro per person per night there, as opposed to 17.50 in Lahinch hostel.... recession and all :pac:
