Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

eBay Seller "DHSummer"

    Hi folks,

Has anyone any experience of using this eBay seller?

I'm always wary of buying stuff from the bay, especially from far-east vendors, as you do hear plenty of stories regarding counterfeits/fakes. But DHSumer has an excellent feedback record, and a quick Google showed a few threads where people were happy with their purchases.

The reason I was interested, is that he is selling the Markins M-20 ball head at the same price as it is in the US (PhotoProShop). Unfortunately, the EU PhotoProShop price for this product is 60% higher than in the US :( DHSummer also offers free delivery worldwide, so when I calculated customs, VAT and any handling fees, I still reckon I'd be saving anything up to €100 on the price of ordering from the EU store.

So, has anyone else used this guy and can offer some feedback?

They have 100% positive feedback going back to 2005- I'd say it's a safe bet.

Just remember that you might incur some fees from the customs folk.

1500 sales and 100% feedback can't be wrong tbh..

    I'm liking the price of the 50mm f/1.4 :)

Yeah, I've already calculated what I'd owe in taxes and duties Kintarō Hattori, and I'd still be saving (mainly due to free worldwide shipping!) :)

I've really very little experience using eBay (probably always a bit skeptical), so I wasn't sure if the feedback rating was to be trusted, but if it's generally accepted to be on the level, I may just take the plunge!

I got the Canon Powershot S3 IS off a big ebay seller in America in March 2007 with about 20 extras and it all still works perfectly but the customs cost €80, still way cheaper than it all would've been over here at the time. I think the seller had 200000+ feedback though.
