Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interfit INT182 EX150 Mark II Lighting

I have this and found it fine. It is cheaper because of it uses cheaper components. The sync cable did fail for me, but they send me out a new one for free when I emailed them about it. I bought it for product photography, but it should be powerful enough for small groups.

The DVD could be better - it doesn't go into light balance etc.

Would you recommend it for a starter or go with something a bit better?

Yes its fine for starting off in studio lighting. The next level up is about twice as expensive. I thought it was good value.

I have them also and work perfectly, I got two sync cables with mine and I have also used them along side flashes too for extra lighting. Plenty of shots on my flickr using them if you want to see a sample. heres one

now for comparison the second shot was taken a few days later using dodgys bowens lights, same girl, note though that the interfit were used here to light the background. Obviosuly the bowens give more power but you can still get a similar result with the interfit if you set them accordingly.
