Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fact if you know anything at all you should be able to help me :)

The missus bought this camera and I am now tasked with the job of getting a SD card for it. The instruction manual doesnt say the exact type of memory card to use other than a "SD card". I know the standard SD card wont fit but what should a I be looking to buy - a micro or a mini SD card? Sorry but I know very little obviously about these matters :o

    Thanks in advance guys/gals

    Sounds like an odd predicament!

SD is pretty universal and I'm surprised that a compact that says it takes SD doesn't fit the normal, micro-SD's are usually just used in phones and other small devices, I've never seen a compact with a micro-sd card (unless they've an SD-micro-SD adaptor). Usual compact cards are sd, XD and the sony pro-duo things. Very hard to say without seeing it, bring it in to an electrical shop like Currys, Harvey Norman, PC world etc and they should be able to sort you out.

This is what you want to look at, or possibly even this.

Thanks for the help guys. Now a wee update. I forgot I had a standard SD card in a camera that I havent used in ages so I took it out of mine and put it in her camera and it fits (physically) but....she is now getting a "File Error" message displayed.

Would this be because its the wrong type of card or perhaps because there were pics already on the card or maybe its a setting that needs tweaked. There is 32mb built in memory in the camera but obviously any pics over and above this would need to be stored in the card as opposed to the built in memory. It sounds simple but obviously not.

First get any pics off that card onto your pc so you don't lose them.
Then put the card in her camera, format it using the camera, and try again.

Exactly. Always format the card in the camera.

Then try taking a few picts, and see.

Sorry guys but I might be coming across as being a bit thick here but how do you format the card?

Put the card in the camera, go in to the camera menu system (there's bound to be some menu) then select format.

I've never used/seen that camera, but there has to be some menu or options system in there.

Yup, there's a menu alright as I was twiddling about with it earlier. I'll give that a go shortly and let you know how I got on.

Thanks again for the help lads.
