opening ulster bank account quick question

hi just a quick question, im opening an ulster bank account and part of the required documents is a verification document for my pps number? whats would this document be?

Anything official from the Revenue Commissioners would be ideal, tax credit certificate for instance. If you're unemployed, then something from the Social Welfare people.

In my branch there is a notice that PPS number is requested from all account holders but there is no obligation to provide it. However, if you decline to provide it, it will be noted in correspondence with the revenue.

And to add to that, giving the Revenue more reason to pull you up for a audit or something else of the sort.
