    Wheres battlefield: Vietnam?
Seconded , always loved BF:V , even if its become the "forgotten" battlefield.Had some great battles on maps like Operation Flaming Dart, and nothing better than running some fecker over with a BTR 60 while blasting "fortunate son" over the radio , or the obligatory "ride of the Valkyries" moment with a Huey gunship.

It's been said before, but the OP completely ignored Valve's (and it's related community, too) unparalleled multi-player first-person shooter record this decade; from Counter-Strike to its sequel, Counter-Strike: Source, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 and of course Team fortress 2, by far the most prolific multi-player shooter developer of the decade has been ignored for reasons that remain a mystery.

In my humble opinion Team Fortress 2 is by a good margin the best game of this type and undoubtedly one of the decade's best games, regardless of genre.

The fact Valve have fostered a thriving community around it and - on PC, it's Microsoft's regulations that prevent them from doing likewise on Xbox 360 - have offered up large updates on a regular basis completely free (the latest major update was last Thursday, well over two years after the game was released, which introduced a crafting system, two new maps, seven new in game items, bots and a whole host of tweaks) just adds to an already fantastic game.
