Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He says it as it is allright.

Eamo is just doing what he does best. I don't think anyone take him too seriously these days, His cred suffered with his stance on Ronaldo.

Whelan pretty poor on the Academy stuff.

Check how many players came through it in the previous ten years with English coaches who included among there number Parry's son.
Then maybe compare it with the youths some of the ex-Barcelona coaches have developed in their careers.

Whelan's source - the reserve manager who was moved on in the summer.

the main thing...he lost the club many, many millions in potential revenue by being sh*t at capitalising on the liverpool brand.

he also liked putting his oar in on transfers when he knew f*ck all.

he was a nice man, and a good servant, but he ended up out of his depth.

No but he's in terms of the Academy the three key individuals are McParland, Dalglish and Jose Segura.

It's noticeable in interviews with youngsters/reserves how many mention chatting with Dalglish and he seems to be constantly around the place since he joined.

Basically Whelan was flinging dirt at the new regime in the Academy and implying that there was no way the English kids could understand the coaches which according to everything I've read/heard since the new regime started is nonsense. He also failed to mention how abysmal the Academy were under the previous system in terms of bringing players through, which has hampered Rafa's efforts a fair bit

Great story about the Neviller when Michael Owen joined United and he was introducing him to everyone. When he gets to Wellbeck "Michael, this is Danny Wellbeck, he has something you heven't got, a Premier League Winners' Medal."

    Legend.

one of his job requirments is to know players, not say he is a unknown,
