What does everyone make of the Lloyd/Danyl rumors that are floating around?

Now, normally I'd dismiss these as silly rumors. Internet message boards and even magazines have been covering the story (see here).

To find out more, I asked a friend who works back stage on the show. He confirmed that the production staff has known about it for awhile. Supposedly they were caught by production staff (a stylist, to be precise). Simon Cowell's P.R. team are said to be terrified the news will get out. The press reportedly know about the story, but are not running with it for the time-being.

The rumor is also backed up by this "X-Factor in Crisis" story that ran a few weeks ago. Allegedly Lloyd's family were called in, but the press has kept mum. Interesting.

Would this ruin the show if it turned out to be true? There's nothing illegal going on, since Lloyd is 16, the age of consent in Britain. But a 27 year old with a 16 year old would certainly raise eyebrows.

Before anyone starts, I'm not trying to ruin contestants' chances. I'd actually like to see Danyl win.

If something like this can't be linked to a checkable/clickable RELIABLE news source, I don't think it should be posted!

I can't stand Big Gob Danyl myself but this type of unproven rubbish is what fills the Sun and the Star daily. Pure garbage!

I thought it was silly, too, but like I said, the more I look into it, the more there was to back it up.

I don't think it's immaterial. Let's face it, this show isn't just about the singing. It's about the drama, too. The weekly arguments the judges have prove that much.

So there is one web page with this story and the rest are forums (Vanityedge is a FORUM - not an article - here is your correct link: http://www.vanityedge.com/showthread.php?t=270)!
I'm sorry, while the story MIGHT be true, I decline to just take forum chatter as absolute proof.
This type of rubbish ruins carriers before they can even get started.

...and Danyl has a boyfriend already anyway. The two was pictured holding hands a couple of weeks ago coming out of the X-Factor house.

Only ONE of those FOUR links are from Internet forums. The others are articles (in Vexed, Digital Spy, and Vanity Edge).

I posted the message board one just to show that I wasn't inventing this off the top of my head -- to illustrate that the rumors have been circulating for awhile.

1. So we have "Vexed" as a pure gossip scraping-up scandal site (the web equivalent of the Sun/Star) saying something UNPROVEN!!!
2 & 3. "Digital Spy" with a DENIAL from Lloyd about actually being gay - and thats ALL - and public chat forum!

Where is the "back up" from actual news articles?

O' and NOWHERE does the REAL article ""X-Factor in Crisis" mention in any way direct or by hint as to Lloyd and/or Danyl and their persuasions or possible actions other than Danyl as we all know now, annoying Stacy about her talents and being away from her kid!

More power to them, who cares if Lyold is only 16 and Danyl is 27 there above the the legal age of consent. Shame their keeping this as a big secret, maybe now Jedward is gone they might make it as the news story of the week.

The NoTW article mentions that Olly and Stacey shared a kiss. It also makes reference to another romance happening in the house:

One contestant was shocked to discover text messages on a mobile phone between two others discussing their feelings for each other - in complete defiance of a 'no-relationship' rule.

All I'm saying is, ask someone if you know anyone working behind the scenes of the X-Factor about this "secret romance" (it's more likely than you think, they have a very big production staff) and they'll clear it up for you. It's not Olly and Stacey, everyone knows about that; it's been mentioned numerous times. This article states there's a romance going on but keeps the names hush.

Actually if you bothered to post the full text as it appears in order, people would have seen the previous PRE-TEXT!

So as most of us know now - this probably refers to Olly and Stacy! The article even hints this too (surprise!) by including a picture of Stacy with the words under it "Secret Kiss"
So where again - is the Lloyd/Danyl reference and/or hint???

( - and by the way, till the printing of that article on its date, there had been no public mention of any relationship between Olly and Stacy or anyone in the house otherwise.
They, the paper, were the first to hint at THEIR romance with this one article. The public THEN became aware of it.)

The article shifts topic and goes right on to...

And cheeky 18-year-old Jedward twins Jed and Edward Grimes were caught giggling over internet porn as they waited for a singing lesson, etc...

Gossip websites trying to draw attention for attention sake is not a good source of any description.
Relying on public forum chat is even worse and will only be taken as any type of "source" by a lesser intuitive person!

I personally don't consider gossip/muck raking dirt as a "source" - just call it what it is - unsubstantiated chat gossip in text form of a poor one web site Vex post!

What they do as legally covered consenting people is out of the bounds of the contest.
PR-wise it might not be seen as too good but then only those with more ridged ideology fixed attitudes will have a problem with any such relationship.

Apparently the Jamie/Coco might be true.
Even Jamie admitted that they were "at it" in a number of recent interviews.
(I'm keeping mind that he might just be playing a publicity game himself)

I'd like to think so.
They mightn't be to everyone's taste but each to their own and she does come across as genuine from start to finish.

I thought I (and the wife) heard her on TV at an interview saying (with her strong accent) "...get behind our X-Factor guys" but if you can show where your version of words is stated, that statement by yourself will stand.
