:( Turned on the tv just there and the internals are making a not so pleasing noise. Sounds kinda like shaking a glass of sand or something. Static-like

It's there pretty much all the time, very heavy when I change channel and can hear it 'winding down' when I turn off the tv. Also comes back on when I go from standby to OFF for those few seconds that the screen lights up. With the old tv, banging the top of it would sort this out most of the time but I aint gonna do it with this one :)

Could this be something to do with the signal coming in or am I just unlucky with tv electronics? I've it plugged out now and will leave it while I download the latest update. Will post again after I've done this...

Right that done no change, definitely the internals of the tv as without the signal cable plugged in the noise is still there :( It was all going so well....

    Hey Ash,

Did you happen to hear anything about the issue? I was hoping to hear from them yesterday but nope :( Thought they were open today to give them a ring :o

    Cheers!

    Ash,

Update on this, they're waiting for parts to arrive (5-6 working days from last Thursday) so I guess I was unlucky and got one with a faulty piece of electronics. Ah well! Hopefully its just that and the tv doesnt cause me any other problems

    Hi McKildare

The Premium Service Centre are usually very quick to turn things around in my experience.

Would you like a loan of a TV until yours comes back? I'd hate to think of you with out a TV to watch.

    Cheers

    Ash

    Ash,

Cheers for the offer but I reckon they'll be back to me tomorrow or Thursday with at least an update. If it comes to Friday though without a peep from them may be I'll set up on the shop floor with my festival chair and some popcorn :)

    Ash,

(Final) Update, TV arrived at 8 this morning :D

I was already gone to work so my poor mother had to get up for it :pac: I wonder is there a note with it saying what broke, maybe I can give them a call and ask either. Happy out anyway, back in action :)
