Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Remote Networking/FTP

I've been searching through some threads on here but I can't seem to find when I'm looking for exactly, basically I want to set up some kind of remote network if possible. I simply want to be able to copy avi or mp3 files from my laptop or networked iTab (media player) to my friends laptop or media player (iomega screenplay pro HD) over the internt and vice versa. I am wondering how to go about this?

I have been researching this a little bit and some replies on here have said to use logmein's Hamachi. Does anyone know if this will do what I want mentioned above or would I have to setup a NAT-FTP on my netopia router and forward ports or something?

    any info much appreciated,

    thanks

Hamachi can create VPN between you and your friends computer and then you can just drag and drop files onto shares setup on each others machines.

Its quite easy to do once you get your head around it.

Are you looking to stream data or just transfer and play from storage at the remote site?
