Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How lucky are Chelsea... joke!

    Come on Arsenal!

Cole silencing the crowd, Drogba continuing his scoring record against Arsenal, Arsenal on top for most of the game and we are 2-0 up. Love it.

Great goal. And that's the difference between Arsenal and Chelsea at the moment.

you should have really put quotation marks there for Andy Gray's comment:pac:

    True that.

    Half time. 2-0 Chelsea.

What can Arsenal do? Change of tactics badly needed. Passing the ball into the net is too predictable and are being found out time and time again.
    Mix it up.

I said Chelsea would win the league months ago, wish I had a ton on them now before the season started.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,132 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

I don't see why Arsenal are consistently floating balls into the box when we have absolutely no one there to win them. Chelsea lucky enough to be ahead I think based on play so far.

I do think it wrapped up though, unless Arsenal make some unprecedented changes in style of play, because what they're trying now isn't working.

    Sigh :(

    3-2 i predict.

Great rally by us in the 2nd half. Drogba to be red carded. Cole to damage metatarsil.

    Come on you gunners

We don't need your little snipes, this is the problem with this forum, people dragging other teams into every thread, no need for it xavi.

To be fair it wasn't really a snipe. Xavi imo was just pointing out hypocrisy.

The books not closed you know.

1.6 on betfair atm. Just put 3ton on instead ;)

    predicting injury on a player.

    Completely different

By 70 minutes I'd much prefer us to look like:

    Almunia

    Sagna
    Vermaelen----Gallas
    Traore

    Fabregas
    Song
    Rosicky

    Walcott
    Vela
    Nasri

Eduardo and Arshaving have been very poor, particularly Eduardo, he's been so wasteful.

Chances of an embarrassing scoreline here...

2 up plus a defo penalty turned down. ye we are very lucky

Your hoping it happens though, pretty much the same thing :)

He is carrying a knock anyway. Zhirkov might come on for him.

    Feck that tbh

Nearly every pool fan knows we were incredibly lucky(or they are lying to themselves), but if Xavi thinks Holsten is wrong (which he was) then have a go at that and don't drag in another game, because there's other posters reading and he should honestly have no need to throw in a little dig.

Just annoying anyway when I'm trying to discuss the match at hand.

Not half as annoying as reading the multiple posts disccusing it after it.

Use the report post function and then we can all enjoy the thread please.

 It wasn't a swipe, it was pointing out delicious irony.

One minute luck is great but then all of a sudden it isn't.

    oh dear...

I was nervous for a reason. Arshavin not really having a great game. We really need to approach this match like a cup final and throw everything (including the kitchen sink) at them now.

    Theo is on.

At least 1 of your team frisbee

    Can't argue with that. Apologies.

Anyway much more important think we'll see around 4 goals in this half,
especially with no Alex Song playing.

Looks like it's back to 4-4-2 for Arse.

    My prediction.

    3-3

He's a super player. No question.

I don't think he comes across as a particularily good guy though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,132 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Eduardo wasteful again. Playing him alone up front is bad as he works better when he stays up front. Playing alone means he has to drop back every so often and that goes against his game

class but hes not having his best game today

That should have been a goal.

    Chelsea very lucky there.

Ah no way. Bad decision for me. Eduardo has every right to go for that ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,680 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

arshavin and especially Eduardo have been very bad

really shows what a big loss RVP is

Leg was a little high in fairness,
but originally I thought it was a terrible decision.

Eduardo is a shadow of the player he was.

    phew thank god for that

Kinda harsh, but so was the lack of a penalty for us in the first half.

I think its a definite free in Europe for a high foot but you can sometimes get away with a high foot in the PL.

I love J Cole. It's a pity he got injured when he did though. Really is a class act but he's quiet today.

Foot was head height, if went with his own head then no problem but no where on the pitch can you challenge for a ball with our foot at head height.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

He kicked it out of Cech's hands in fairness. Ref made the right call, i think

It wasnt head height for Cech though seen as it was kicked out of his arms.
