Left 4 Dead 2, now only €9 more than you'd pay in a bricks and mortar store.

disappointing way to finish the sale all right, would have expected Steam to have one or two high profile new ones in there. Meh...

Ah well, time to get the Eidos pack!:)

Ah well, time to get the Eidos pack!:)
Got it myself when it all started. And I do not regret it one bit. NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. Some top qualtiy games in there. Already have a few of them, but I don't mind that.
Wonderful pack really. Playing through Batman for a third time, currently on the PC despite already owning it and finishing it twice on the PS3. What a game!

As far as the return of the deals goes, I think it's a missed opportunity really.

anyone play the overlord series ? im tempted to get the complete pack for 17 euro i heard its pretty funny

Bit of a let down on the last day although the first few days where pretty good, have most of the heavy hitters been discounted in sale specials? I was hoping assassins creed would come up but I'll just get on the last day, perhaps that was part of the plan, "it's a sale, it's the last day, I may as well get that game that didn't appear in the super sale but it's still discounted. I can't afford not to!" :)

    Great sale overall.
My games list has expanded to the point where im hoping steam update the client to allow easier searching of owned games. Already looking forward to another one next year.

My total for the sale is Trine, Torchlight and Mass Effect.

Was hoping Dawn of War 2 would drop below €19.99 but alas I was dissapointed. Meh, too many good games out over the next few months anyways :D

Got Ghostbusters (still waiting to be installed... Stupid cap!), Torchlight, Trials 2 and Defence Grid myself.

I think Torchlight wasn't at the silly low price of today when I got it though, but it was still worth every penny. You're all mad if you miss out on this little gem!

For those of you who have bought Dead Space and are planning to play it soon. I recommend that you turn off V-Sync in the graphics settings. It causes a mouse lag that makes the game almost unplayble. Turn it off and you have yourself a briliant game.

    +1
it also syncs to 30 fps.
    I get > 100 to 150 fps normally.
I get a bit of banding with some of the rotating or flashing lights but it's way better than the input lag.
I might try forcing tripple buffering in the nvidia control panel to see what that does.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,923 ✭✭✭kearneybobs

I've never messed with the setting in the Nvidia control panel for the game. But I might try and tweak it when I get around to playing it again sometime soon.

Mouse lag is very noticeable in Red Faction: Guerilla... and I've only been on menu screens (due to complications of setting up Games For Windows Live).

I hate Games For Windows Live.

Does the steam version come with GFWL?

A message box pops up, if you start a new game, saying you must sign in (to a GFWL account) if you want to be able to "save your game" or "earn achievements", apparently. What sort of impossible question is that?

"No, I'd rather not install your crappy GFWL service and, instead, play the game through in one sitting... since I can't save!"
