    My games list has literally doubled, sweet.

    Fock. CoH pack: €30.97
    Have on my 3V voucher: €30
    Sh|te!

    =-=

    Actually, I found that you can get it cheaper!
    Company of Heroes||€4.99
    Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts||€7.49
    Company of Heroes: Tales of Valour||€17.49

    Company of Heroes Complete Pack (all above) || €30.97

    Company of Heroes Gold (CoH & CoH: Opposing Fronts) || €7.49

    So, if I get the CoH:Gold & CoH:Tales of Valour together, it's only €24.98 - over a fiver cheaper than the "sale" pack. Go figure :D

    /edit
    Seems play.com has all three for a tenner http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/9351525/Company-Of-Heroes-Anthology/Product.html?add=9351525

    Think I'll get it with them - in no hurry to play it, and it's cheaper :cool:

    Have you played the Total War series at all?

    Its not for everyone, it can be extremely boring for those not into complex strategy.
    I can imagine it being the dogs bollocks for those that can arrange armies into proper formations. I cant though, an all out charge is the best I can manage.

    I played empire and the one before that but never rome.

    I have only played Rome. I ended up letting the computer handle every battle after some spectacular screwups.

    Hello, id pack!

    22 games... unreal value

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,696 ✭✭✭romperstomper

    are the ID games worth it? bearing in mind i already own quake 3, quake IV, quake wars and doom 3. was always a fan but thought they lost the plot a bit with the survival horror aspects of doom 3 (that flashlight drove me insane)

    I've been stuck on "Download starting..." for ages.
    Tried changing server about 3 times now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,378 ✭✭✭Krieg

    Yeah Its a real shame about the server

    I thought I might have to wait 2 hrs to dl UT2K4, but its 5 hours now and only 50%. And ill be heading to bed soon which will no doubt ruin the install and Ill have to start over tomorrow

    I'm downloading the Chronicles or Riddick fine here... well, not fine, but at about a third my normal speed so 250-300KB/s. I do notice my client has developed a habit of defaulting to Moldavian server's of late though so maybe that's the difference.

    Id love to partake in this sale but I uninstalled Steam, its just legalised spyware, bloody awful thing to have on the comp

    Do the following to stop Steam from running when you turn on your computer, advertising to you etc.:

    File > Settings > Interface > Change Favourite Window to Games or something other than Steam.

    File > Settings > Interface > Untick Run Steam when Windows starts.

    File > Settings > Interface > Untick Notify me (with Steam instant messages) about additions or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases.

    There's a few other settings you can change if you want, just have a look around the settings menu and choose your level of paranoia.

    It has to be said, now that I've saved my CC details to my account, impulse buys are far too easy.

    Got Riddick Witcher and gave the Jedi Academy pack to my brother for christmas.

    I bought Torchlight last week too. That will be fun when I ever get around to it.

    Kinda disapointed by this one. Already got RE5 and BF2 in the last sale. Was kinda hoping they would bring out the big guns today :(
