Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buzzing Sound on Speakers

    Hi Folks,

I upgraded my PC recently with a new motherboard (MSI 785GM-65), RAM and CPU. I have an old set of PC speakers with two speakrs and a subwoofer, since the upgrade I have been getting a buzzing sound on the speakers. There is a buzzing sound on standard set of headphones too so Im pretty sure its no the speakers that are faulty. When the PC is turned off there is no buzzying, during bootup there is no buzzing but just after I log into windows the speakers begin to buzz. I have tried configuring the motherboard soundcard to use stereo speakers via the supplied application but to no avail. The new motherboard has 8-channel audio and I suspect this is the source of the problem but not sure how to fix it, I thought setting to stereo would do it but no joy. Any ideas and all feedback welcome.

    Regards,

    Dave

remove ALL old sound card drivers, then install new ones

make sure volume is only set to 70% on the off chance you are overdriving

test with an audio CD in the cd drive, this sends an analog signal to the sound card,
