Recently on the Horror forum (final list post #112) posters contributed to a definitive 100 horror movies list.It has sparked some interesting debate and I think it would work well here too.Its simple really,posters just nominate an album(s) that they think every metal fan should own until we have 100,then we break it into blocks of 10 and discuss their merits,ie whether they are or arent worthy of being on the list.

This is by no means a best albums of all time list and I would hate to see it descend into a pissing contest deriding eachothers picks.It should be a fun list that brings to our attention albums we have missed out on.When you make your choice try and add a little comment,then the next person quotes your post,does the neccessary edits then numbers and adds their own pick.

Rules
1 All albums must be numbered and the nominator must put their name after the nomination.
2 You may only nominate 1 album per ten,ie,the max anyone will have is 10 albums on the list.
3 No discussion is to happen on thread apart from the comments from the nominator.This is just a list thread,discussion comes later.
4 No piss taking,insulting or slagging peoples picks,the discussion/debate will take place once we hit 100 albums.
5 As Ive said,this list is not a ranking,just because one album is at 10th and another is at 50th doesnt mean its better,its just a list.

The definitive thrash metal album and frequently cited as a major influence on thousands of bands.It was controversial and sparked a media furore because of the track Angel of Death.Simply a must have for metal fans.

4.Between The Buried and Me - Colors.

Relatively unknown across the pond but these guys are quite big in America. The -core tag may deter some but this album has some of the best music ever written imo. The songs are long, alot of the time heavy and dissonant but the amount of different genres that are included seamlessly, and how the whole 64 minutes seems like one cohesive unit make this a must have for anybody who listens to an album as it should be.

5. Queensryche : Operation Mindcrime ... a class leader in the Prog Metal Concept Album category. Over 20yrs old and still as relevant and jaw droppingly brilliant as it was upon it's release.
