Looks like maybe a decent opportunity for some electrical activity over the Irish Sea particularly tonight and tomorrow. Keep an eye out for some scattered storms and heavy rain aswell as the night goes on.

On the downside low cloud may mean not too much visibility of any lightning.

EDIT - just saw a flash of lightning just now.

Just had it pass over a couple of minutes ago. An absolute tonne of hail with it, can't drive at all.

Great fun to go outside and ice skate in shoes. :D

Looks like mostly the East but more inland later in the night. Anyhow even despite low cloud you should still be able to see it from a good distance away. Not constant lightning but flashes now and again!

Very loud thunder in D24 - the rumble seemed to go on for longer than usual... (didn't time it!)

These lightning flashes must be very big, as I saw flash at same time in Rathfarnham and somebody else saw same in Naas!

Was out in seapoint during a lot of the last storms, awesome stuff! Very strong winds and high waves breaking along the coast and about 20 strikes i'd say in total from different storms since it started. One deafening crack of thunder too. Oh and not to forget the heavy hail which left a covering with big drifts too:D
