    but would that not destroy the gear box in the gun . i know if you get a higher milliamp it increases the rate of fire but the voltage is different isn't it

    More voltage = Higher R.O.F
    More milliamps= Longer lasting battery.

    A 9.6V battery won't destroy the gearbox, it will make it wear out a tiny bit faster, unless its a Sportline...
