Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

External HDD Query

    Hey all,

I have a broken female usb connection on my external hdd. One of the lads has a broken drive inside his external media drive and is not using it.

Instead of just fixing the female connection, could I transfer my hdd into his media drive? Would there be an issue with my drive not having partitions containing the software required to play the media or is this contained on a chip on his media drive separate to the hdd?

    Thanks

No reason why not! It will only take a few minutes to do and you'll find out anyway. The enclosure is only really an interface between the HDD and the computer.

    Good luck!

Worked perfectly.. Bit off fiddling around with the cases but a really easy job. Got all my media, photos and music back and it can all be played through the tv :D
