What's the 'crack' with the Carraroe Retail Park?

We all know it's rapidly disappearing, the last time I was in Homebase one of the assistants was mentioning that the ban the Chamber of Commerce had on allowing food/clothes retail outlets in the area might be removed. She mentioned the owners of the retail park are on the 'war path' since all their tenants are now an endangered species. I was just wondering has anyone heard about this? Remember Tesco was blocked not to long ago, the spill off business this could have generated for the retail park might have saved some Sligo jobs. Hey but what do I know? I'm not one of the visionaries from the COC!

check out the other threads, we had lots of very long discussions on this board. I think it's in "stores closing in sligo" and in a few other threads. Can't remember all of them but I'm sure the other users can tell you.

All of these pretty much have the reason why we don't talk about this anymore. I'm sure there are more but I couldn't be bothered looking for all of them.

Thanks for the heads up, I had absolutely no idea this topic had been discussed so much. I personlly wouldn't view such a thread a particularly divisive topic, but it appears that I'm wrong in this opinion.
