Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I currently have a 400GB external hdd. I want to install windows xp pro on it and then transfer the hdd into my new pc (as an internal drive). Will this work?

    Thanks in advance,
    apc

Why don't you just put it in as internal drive and then install? Or have you not got access to PC yet.

I could do that but Im not so confident with opening up my pc. I know its relatively easy but it would simplify it alot if I could do it through a USB connection. So is it possible?

I'm not sure if it is very straight forward as I'd imagine the setup will only look for fixed hard drives and allow you to chose them.

To be honest, it's surprising simple to open the case and disconnect the current hard drive connectors onto your new one. Don't even need to take out the old one :)
