Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, you read it right - in Conns !

That was the advertised price in their display unit for a brand new 300mm 2.8 NIkon lens so with divilment in mind I said I'll take it ... (offer, acceptance and all that)

They then realised the typo (should have been 3149 apparently), they "dont have it in stock" and when I pointed out the one in the display cabinet it was "for display purposes" and not for sale

    :)

Pity they don't have to sell it at that price. You could've ordered two. ;)

Legally they are in the right.

The price tag is an Invitation to Treat. You then make an Offer to Treat. If that offer is accepted then a contract is in place, until then they can back out.

That lens at that price certainly WOULD be a treat ! What I find amusing about the story is that the sales guy presumably didn't have a clue , instead of just laughing it off and amending the sticker price he sounds as though he hummed and hawed and made excuses :D
