Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

term of endearment

    Well I just checked Focal.ie and couldn't find the translation for this, anyone got any suggestions for 'term of endearment?! Doesn't have to be literal.. more than likely won't be!

    Also another thing while I'm here... I'm wondering what term of endearment you would use with your sister, as in equivalent of 'sis', that kind of thing.

    A thaisce is one that I use with my friends, and 'a stór' sounds to me like for a pet, or your husband and I don't use it so far.

    Is there anything else that would translate for use when speaking to your sister?

    'Ainm ceana' is the irish for a pet name. You could use 'a chroí' with your sister - it's not as mushy as you'd think!
