During the summer we got our dogs coat cut quite short. Her fur has grown back but there's a patch that hasn't. Has anyone came across this before?

It really depends on how bit the patch it as to whether or not you should be worried. We shave one of our dogs every year (around March/April time) and sometimes it grows back a bit patchy but eventually sorts itself out. If there are parts of the dog that are fuzzier than others, there is nothing to worry about, but if it is one specific patch that is not growing at all you should prob have a look and see if the skin around it is dry/flakey/red/sore etc. It could be one of many things - from a flea allergy to your dog biting at the area repeatedly. If it is on his hip/rear region I would get it checked by a vet to rule out any pain (dogs with sore hips will bite around the area, not always on the specific spot that hurts). If the patch is very large, it could indicate a food allergy or some other environmental sensitivity. Best to get it checked out by a vet to make sure it is nothing sinister.
