Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a number of files saved on my PC. I want to capitalise the first letter of each word. I have lots of change so need something that will do them all together.

f.e. I wanted christy moore - black is the colour.mp3 to become Christy Moore - Black is the Colour.mp3.

    Anyone have a handy tool?

    Thanks

From your example, you presumably want to exclude joiner words such as "is, as, the, on, an, it", etc from being capitalised?

Easy enough for a perl script to do. You could hack some vbscript together to do it as well.

    This may help:

Yes, I wanna prevent joiner words where possible and/or change them to lowercase if they're already uppercase.

The program you linked me to looks handy but doesn't seem to have the option I'm looking for without some fancy expressions which I'm useless at :(

I believe that i did use the windows move or ren commands to change christy moore - black is the colour.mp3 to become Christy Moore - black is the colour.mp3.

Which is slightly better but not exactly what you are looking for i see.

You could look for some sort of ID3 file name renamer, depending on whether your files ID3 tags are correct

OP - have a try of this - I created it a few years ago - worked back then on XP anywho and will do what you want. Should be self explanatory to use! it doesn't do ID3 I stopped developing it before I could get to that :/

Free and safe. It'll deal with filename, as well as internal, doesn't just deal with .mp3 either.

    If it is audio: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
