dvd recorder childlock

    i have a philips dvd recorder at home that i would like to put a child lock on so that it can be only turned on by the remote.

    it is a philips dvd recorder and the model number is 3305. i can't seem to find out
    anything in the user manual. that may be because it is not possible to do it.

    if anyone has any idea if it can be done and how to do it i would be very grateful.

    i also have a LG HDD/DVD Recorder RH7800H that i would like to put a child lock on so if anyone has any idea again i would be very grateful
