Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SDHC card problem

    Hi,

I have a 32GB SDHC card. On my Macbook it is showing with a usable capacity of 33.53GB - is this normal? I thought that the usable capacity is normally LESS than the amount stated on the card?

The reason I ask is that the card won't work in my camera even though the camera is SDHC card compatible up to a maximum of 32GB. I was wondering if the fact that the usable capacity is over 32GB is the reason it doesn't work. I can't format the card in the camera because it is not even recognised - it's as if there is no card inserted!

I'd appreciate any comments or advice.

    Thanks!

Did you get it cheap off the net ?

Could be a hacked card... see it a lot with usb drives and media players.
Might be a 2Gb card hacked to look like 32Gb.
Only comes to light when you attempt to store more than 2Gb.

That's possible, it's not that hard to do.

Also, have you tried maybe partitioning the card into a smaller size to see if your camera recognizes it?

Thanks for your help but looks like I'll hopefully be getting a refund for the card. I think that it's definitely a dud - I've learnt my lesson! Thanks again!
