Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Java causes PC to Crash

My friend got a PC with WinXP and Java installed every time a Java app opens (tried both Firefox and IE) the PC stops responding screens flickers once or twice then turns off. Same thing happens as soon as I click on the icon to open the Java console from control panel. I can briefly see a 'blue screen' but it's too quick to read. No logs show in the Java folder and nothing shows in windows event viewer

I tried creating a simple 'HelloWorld' class to see if Java worked at all, ran from command prompt no problem.

Tried updating to latest JRE (6 update 17), un-installing re-installling JAVA same issue still happens. Also tried fresh install of XP and Java no change.

My friends say it's also happening with Windows 7 with latest Java installed on the same hardware. Only difference in Win7 though is that it throws up a NVIDIA display error after clicking on Java then reboots. GFX card is GeForce 6600GT

    Anybody have any suggestions?
