Tesco selling off lots of gardening tools and accessories at up to 50% off.

Bought a Flymo hedgetrimmer for 35 euro today,reduced from 70 euro.

Oh and a large bypass loppers reduced from 15 euro to 7 euro.

Is that all Tescos? I'm in the market for a cheap and cheerful light electric mower for a pain in the behind bank that needs maintaining... Sick of either hauling the petrol up and down it or having to strim and rake.

I think they were around 6 euro 50 cents-7 euro last time I saw them there,few months back.

Never heard of them before but seem like the answer to my greenhouse prayers!! Definitely will be getting a few of these , should stop water spilling all over the floor causing mould in winter and soil getting everywhere. Anyone seen them in a shop in Dublin recently - pref southside? Would like fairly sturdy ones i could get a few years out of.

100cm long Growbag trays for 7 euro each in Homebase,Fonthill

I use them indoors for the large Kentia Palm plants and also the money trees.

Thanks Paddy, are they fairly tough?, looking for as rigid and hardy as possible.

Kids love it too.....mini jungle to play in with their toy animals,and the fish tank behind the couch to look at and imagine being in an underwater world..

They're great. I only have one, it holds 12 litres of water so it gives you a few days peace of mind.

I only threw one of these out in the black bin this morning (the stand) because anyone I asked didn't want it. My OH bought one that you put on the side of the shed (though you can take it down if you need to) from Homebase last weekend. I found the stand kind of fiddley, having to hold it down with one foot rolling it out or reeling it in. It would be worth considering the ones that you can stick on the wall.

Contemporary grey, round planters in b&q for €2. They are approx 20l light plastic. Look really good. Also smaller colourful biodegradable pots for €1 & €2.

Time to start thinking about lawn maintenance for next year. This stuff will make a great difference and help the grass over the winter. Leave it till October to put down though.
