Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

not sure if this is meant to be here so can a mod move it if it's in the wrong computer section

i have a dell laptop with mediadirect which is a media os on a seperate partition,
i deleted this partion when i set up new ones for windows and 1 for other stuff
i hit the mediadirect button today(it was dark) and it tryed to load that os but it's gone so it just made one assigned it teh letter C and change my windows C drive to E

so notting works now as all the file are E on thinking their on C
and i get a ntldr missing error
i have copyed some of the files off the now E: so the drive works fine

any way to reassign the C drive to the now E
    in command prompt

Dell are no help they just want to have me install windows again or pay 60 pounds for them to do it.

A copy of "Partition Magic" ("Paragon Partition Manager" or similar) should be able to help do the job you seek.

Is there any other drive associated with c: now?

yea the c partition created but it only has the boot folder and some files on it's only around 2mb
the now E is 60gb and seems to be unaltered
    the D drive is untouched

will partition magic leave the files on the now E after it changes the letter
i can't buy one but so is there one on that site that will work well

Yes, it only changes the drive reference letter.
It's one of the most well know good tools for this area of work.
Its nice and clear to use also.
There is a good help system in it if you have worries too. :)

A bootable usb may be an option if the BIOS supports it.

What windows version is it actually.

Also do you have the install disk?

You could try the recovery console first if you do.
