Does anyone know where you can get hamper baskets?

I want to make up my own as the ones you buy are always over priced and contain krap you never want.

Getting my hands on some straw would be handy too.

    Cheers!

Google florist supplies - you'll find all information (baskets, straw, wrap and ribbons) you require there. They probably only sell in bulk though.

My local (Tralee) fruit & veg. shop sell them individually with some straw, wrap and a ribbon included @ (AFAIK) €8.99 for a large one.

Hmm Tralee's a bit out of my way. I'll try the florist route.

    Thanks!

I got a basket last year in TkMaxx they've loads of different sizes.
Instead of straw last year I used shredded wrapping paper.
    (Looked nice and sparkly) :D
Although thinking about it now pet shops do straw for small animals.
And Penneys usually have rolls Christmas bows for about 1.50.
    Good luck

Cheers. My local garden centre/florist had baskets for a fiver and she recommended a pet shop for the straw.

I have bows and ribbons already just need a clear plastic cover but the florist may also have that.
    ;)

You don't necessarily have to use wicker baskets you can use lots of different types of containers etc...
I'm making lots of these types of gifts for christmas and i'm using boxes from dunnes and i have baskets from dunnes too. you could wrap an old shoe box in nice xmas wrapping paper.

have a look at this site for some more ideas...

Flamingo Display in Fashion City, Ballymount, or Elmes in Bluebell or cane connection in Finglas.

All sell to the trade, and minimum quantities will apply. Any prices they quote or have on their items will be ex vat, so take account of adding vat to price.

Yes I now see them on the attached as below.

Preferably I would be looking for the largest type basket on the top photo of the attached.

Has anyone any idea of the size of the largest basket, thanks.

LIDL I think have very large type baskets in their bakery section, if I remember correctly. I wonder where do they get them.
