In fact, come to think of it I question the whole idea of the "role model". Load of BS. He is a good golfer, maybe the best ever; but there was virtually nothing else that anybody knew about him.

Nah. They dealt with it very differently. Beckham never admitted anything, and posh acted as if nothing happened, so he emerged unscathed.

Lawyers for US golfer Tiger Woods have obtained a UK injunction preventing certain information purportedly about him being published.
The order was granted by a judge at the High Court in London, and concerns alleged information which cannot be disclosed for legal reasons.

That's true but she kept quiet while the guy got torn apart by the media.

He was hosting This Morning at the time and his career hadn't even come close to peaking.

She had ample opportunities to come out and say 'No, John was not the guy .. please stop saying it was him'.

She didn't and I felt her silence spoke volumes.

I think it's pretty unbelievable, all of the golfers in the world that could tarnish the sport it was the no.1 golfer megastar goldenboy.

On a positive note, with Tiger out of the picture, our boy Harrington has a real opportunity to challenge for the world no.1 golfer.

I predict one of two outcomes to this - one a very public reconcilation at some point in the next few months and career back on track (but maybe with a much lighter work load) or she files for divorce which naturally becomes a very messy protracted mess indeed and he ends up quietly shunned into an early retirement, that Woods will paint as much needed time to reflect but from which he never fully emerges.

And Jack Nicklaus record survives for another 20 years!
