Well the AGM for World Snooker was held today and at last the players who voted finally got their wish and Sir Rodney Walker was voted out and Barry Hearn will be installed as the new chairman. Well the AGM for World Snooker was held today and at last the players who voted finally got their wish and Sir Rodney Walker was voted out and Barry Hearn will be installed as the new chairman. This really signifies a big big day for the future of the sport, if there is one man who can reinvent the game it's Barry Hearn, he just seems to have the midas touch. It was Hearn who took snooker to China and Thailand in the mid eighties and it was Hearn who took the game of darts and completly turned it around by getting Sky Sports on board and huge sponsorships for the many tournaments.

All i can say is it's a great time to be a fan of this great sport, Hearn incedently was backed by all the big names in snooker to succeed Walker as chairman.:)
