Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hey, looking to get a 430 EX II or maybe the 580 ... probably the 430 EX II ... these take normal batteries correct ?

bit of a pity , how long do they last (how many flashes) - roughly ?

also is there a canon battery you can get for this flash ?

    cheers...

You can get a battery pack for the flash which'll give you better recharge rates and longer use.

With the Canon one, you can use 6 batteries or one rechargable one. You can get 3rd party ones aswell, just do a bit of research, some are better than the Canon one... some, stay well away for.

    Pay good money :)

I have the 430, as said it takes 4 AA batteries.
I Never use disposable batteries all-ways use the rechargeable. When the disposables go down in charge, the flash takes longer to charge up, must be because the flow of charge from the battery flows in slower as there is less pressure.

I use standard rechargeable batteries and charge them up when needed.
