Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just got an Xbox today.I feel like such a retard but I just can't connect the controller to the console.

I'm pressing the buttons on the front of the console and on the controller. I've tried it connected to the TV and not connected to the TV. I've tried unplugging the power cable and restarting the console. I turned off my wireless router which is nearby and that didn't make a difference. Nothing works.

A friend's xbx has worked many times in the past without any problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Just tried disconnecting and reconnecting the hard drive and that didn't work. FML

Sounds like your having a fun time with your xbox. Press the main button on the xbox and then hold in the sync button on the controller and xbox. Let us know how you get on.

Yep having the time of my life. I've done what you said dozens of times at this stage. All four lights on the controller just keep flashing and it never connects.

Ok sounds like a problem with your controller or your xbox. Do you maybe have another controller you can use to test it, or even borrow a friends?

Use the charging cable that came with the controller to connect it to the Xbox... that should associate them both.

God damn it! I messed with the thing for two hours and then left it. My brother came home in the meddle of the night, turned it on and it worked straight away. I know you all think I'm a muppet but I swear I just couldn't get it working! Thanks for the replies anyway.

    Flame away....:D
