Lads bit of a predicament here and need a quick answer.

    2x 5770 or 2x 4890.
Was originally going for a 5850 but since they're pretty rare decided to go for crossfire with the option of a third card if needed later.
Both on Pixmania, 5770 for 125 and 4890 for 129.
Getting them as Christmas presents and need to make up my mind soon.
    24" monitor btw.

id suggest ordering a 5850 from several places and canceling once you get an order approved. There will be a new batch of 5850's going to resellers over the next week.

2x5770's are faster and cheaper than a 5870, but would be slower in DX10 compared to 2x4890

Its completely down to yourself, whether you think its worth going DX11 now, personally i do as i only upgrade my gfx cards usually every 2 years, 2x5770's will run everything maxed on a 24" apart from Crysis which still wont run at 60FPS average on max settings @ 1920x1080 with 2x5870's or a 5890.

Either or tbh, I would be leaning towards the 5770 myself in this case, as if your going to stack them, they are a bit cooler running than the 4890 - I wouldnt put too much emphasis on DX11 at this stage tho.

And to be fair, Crysis is a weak title for ATI, but I can manage 60fps @ 2560*1600 (enthusiast) :D
