Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
wondering would a game someone bought in the US work on an xbox console here?
If some do or dont is there a way of knowing from the game or cover before you buy.

    Thanks

Some will work, some won't. Don't think there is a way of telling from the box.
Look them up on Play-Asia and find out if they are region free.
Go over there armed with a list of games you know will work.

AFAIK accessories can't be region locked so they work with all 360s

Also, the case of the game says what region it is:
    Physical game discs
Determine whether the game disc is from the same region as the region where you purchased the Xbox console. To determine the region, view the back of the game package. Look for one of the following codes:

NTSC: North America and South America (United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil)
NTSC-J: Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan)
PAL: Europe, South Africa, India, Australia, and New Zealand

They will all be NTSC over there. It doesn't say whether they are multi-region or not.
You won't find any PAL games in America.

Just to add, as Mr E says they will all say NTSC even if they are region free. If you intend ever trading these games in if you do get them be aware most shops wont take them off you if it says NTSC on the cover as they dont know off hand if its region free or not and dont test them to check so they just dont accept them to be safer.
