As our first tournament was just a try-out and 2010 is here, this is to anounce our first tournament in 2010.

Date: 30 th January, 2010 15:00 SHARP (registrations from 14:00)
Place: XGC , Dublin Lower Abbey Street
Game: Tekken 6 Br, PS3 version
Price: 10 euro

This time, each tournament will be held even if 2 people show up.

And one question: Is Saturday ok, one decent player can make it only on Wednesdays...soo...just post your opinions here. I don't mind, but he can't participate on Saturday.

Well I think if the majority of people are bound to be free on the saturday I think its best to hold it then. Not trying to sound like an asshole but if one guy can't make it on a given day why hold up the whole thing for everyone else? Besides I doubt you'll get a lot in on a wednesday as most people commute + saturday is when people are off school etc

I wouldn't base your decision regarding days on one player. As Ramza says, you have to appeal to as many people as possible. While you would be certain of one player attending (on a Wednesday), there is the possibility of others at a weekend.

Plus, if the XGC is busier at a weekend, you may have people getting interested looking over your shoulder. Then you direct them to one of your promotional outlets and you expand your attendance list slowly but surely...

I was thinking about something short like Tekken Crash, but they use this name in Korea, so maybe Tekken Clash?:) Or Tekken SMASH?

I'll head in for some SF4 if there's a few people up for it, no interest in the tekken side of things though.

Well it looks like kiki and doom might be there, there on the list anyway. I'll head it provided the roads down here aren't impassable.

I should be there for SF4 action. Having said that its quite late and I still have a kebab to eat.

This thread recieved so little update that I completely forgot about this until last night and real life simply got in the way.

Yeah, there were only 3 people there. Sucks most for mantys, since he put all the effort into organising it.

Well in fairness the last time he posted about it was two weeks ago... you gotta keep going with the effort for this stuff so people remember it. Hopefully next time goes better.

I think we need to have regular casuals, like the sf players, before we host anymore tournaments.
