Does anyone have a good (fool proof!) recipe/tips for making EggNog? Fancy making up a batch for Chrimbo but have never made it before. All suggestions welcome!

I was actually just about to come on asking the same question, I'm having a Christmas party tonight and wanted to try it out. Saw this recipe online, looks good. Can anyone give any advise?

Tried Google, ended up with a huge pot of scrambled eggs.

Get some good ready made custard (Tesco vanilla etc), add half pint of cream, and whisk until you get "soft peaks". Add rum to taste.

    Works for me every Christmas.
