The first meeting of the Irish Ableton Live User group is taking place this Saturday (the 5th December) in the Twisted Pepper as part of The Beatyard (http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/beatyard/).

Bring your laptop, soundcard and cables down to demo your tracks on a big club system, take part in a Live laptop jam or just ask questions or give advice.

We'll be there from 2pm until 4pm in the basement Club Room. Hope to see you there

as usual its a dublin thing, i've started doing something similar for the LIT DJsoc in limerick, i do ableton tutorials, another guy does serato, and a few more do beginners dj skills, but its tied into the collage, maybe we should open it up to limerick in general.

Please do! How do you qualify to become an official ableton sanctioned usergroup anyway? would be nice to get a Limerick user group going.

I've no idea, but does it need to be official? i doubt it.

Get the use of a local hall and drag in a PA system and projector, venues like bakers might be willing to let the bar be used on a sunday, they're very receptive to new ideas, anything that gets new bodies in the door.

Just wanted to register my interest in the Limerick user group. I teach Ableton Live around Clare so Limericks handy enough. PM me if there's anything going ahead.

Don't have Ableton yet, but I've been playing around with the demo version, and strongly considering buying it - almost dead set on it. Can I come? :)
