www.bendunne.com free to sell anything until 18th December. I haven't used it yet so can't comment on its effectiveness or simplicity to use. :)

    What is Bendunne.com exactly?

  • Registered Users Posts: 192 ✭✭bellapip

I advertised two suites of furniture on there couple of weeks ago,. 1.50 for 14 days, the suites were stunning and they sold in 3 days,.
Good enough site, but think once more people are on there it will be brilliant.
I for one will be availing of the free adverts,.

Why name an advertisment website after yourself?

It's a badly developed website, but it has money behind it

How famous are the Dunne family and how easy is it to remember?

"Very" is the answer to both questions.

I'm trying to figure out myself which is better, a catchy, easy to remember name or a name that actually has something to do with the service you're providing.
I look at all the most successful e-tailers and they don't have names that would suggest anything to do with their services.
    It's hard to know

    adverts.ie
    gumtree.ie

you would be very silly to waste your time giving him your money when adverts.ie is free and just as common. Ditto on gumtree.ie
bendunne.. whatever it is.com is pointless and only a money spinner for some rich b*stards yacht. Or as I pointed out. Idiots who hear one ad on the radio and forget the the free sites used by 2/3 of the target market.

He doesnt seem to be a very good businessman. HE inherited the dunnes job and has done nothing since of note. He had many many millions after leaving Dunnes yet did little with it. If he os the great retailer he thinks he is why isnt he starting a new supermarket chain to capitalise on lower rents and import the stuff from uk and undercut tesco etc here?

Yeah its so vain isn't it. Maybe he'd just bought the domain and he didn't want to shell out for a more appropriate one. :pac:

Seems people are taking advantage and posting hoax ads

    goat-woman-large.jpg?1260370968
    Goat
"Are we there yet?" - "Are we there yet?" - "Are we there yet?" - "Are we there yet?" - "Are we there yet?" - "Are we there yet?" - This goddam goat just won't shut up. Desperately trying to offload him to some poor family in Africa who won't understand a word he says but he's got me so mad I'll let him to go to anyone who wants him. 20% discount if you're an Indian restaurant. Sure who wouldn't want a goat?

Seems like Ben Dunne's site is getting attacked by the interwebs jokers. Won't be long till this sort of carry on is in the tabloids and then BANG! Loads of free publicity...

Yeah, looks like they did a clean up.

The pedigree dog one is still there, looks like they're not sure if it's real or not.
    As is Play TV.

If it hasn't been photshopped - how did the Velociraptor one above get in the catergory Motors > Puppies ?!

    [edit]
Valuable item from the dawn of TV comedy
