Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Real Madrid lineup:

Casillas; Ramos, Pepe, Albiol, Arbeloa; Xabi Alonso, Granero, Marcelo, Van der Vaart; Higuaín, Cristiano Ronaldo

Real could well reclaim top spot by the end of tonight. Depor have been on form this season and Barca have yet to convince away from home, while Real have a fairly easy task

Ay carumba.. changed over for five minutes and that happened.

Their manager looks like a former Tom Jones impressionist.

Pepè really is a diabolical defender.

Even Ray Houghton sees that much....

EDIT: Higuain on the other hand is too good for this shower...

I know, but the way he's dressed on the sideline bears a resemblance to the Welsh crooner!

Surprised they brought on a striker when 2-1 ahead against a side like Madrid.

Ronaldo to nick a goal in the last 5 now...

Joke Benzema entered the box before.

When is Ronaldo going to realise that stopping in mid run up doesnt fool keepers

    Goal..........

    4 - 2

It's basically the only thing a ref has to do on a penalty is watch to make sure nobody enters the box. Mind-boggling that it was allowed.

    It's irrelevant now anyway. 4-2

    Ronaldo sent off. Pure petulance.

Pure idiocy more like, a yellow for taking of his jersey and a second yellow for kicking out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

    Barca lineup:

Víctor Valdes; Alves, Puyol, Piqué, Abidal; Busquets, Keita, Xavi; Iniesta, Messi, Ibrahimovic

Strange game. Just shows how open La Liga is.

I think the yellow was for the Almeria player for the clash with Ronaldo. Pretty sure Ronaldo got a straight red.

Wonder will they give him an extended ban ala the Pepe incident last season. It really was pretty vicious.

    What a game for Ronaldo:

    Missed a peno

    Scored a goal

Booked for taking off his shirt

    Straight red for kicking out

Just shows he hasnt changed since his United days

Ah okay, I was not sure, it was not particularly clear to me which players were getting which cards. I doubt Ronaldo will be an extended ban, what he did was petulant and unnecessary, but not nearly as bad as Pepe's assault

Guardiola is fantastic and all but I just don't understand Busquets over Toure.

Not sure what happened as of yet.

Marca had Keita down to start but now has been changed for Henry.

Iniesta moves back to midfield with Henry going up front as per usual.

Not an avid follower of Spanish football, but what's the story with Chrygrynskiy? Surely after spending £20m-odd on a CB, you'd expect him to be playing?

Is Pedro on the bench? Wouldn't mind seeing him at some point tonight, he's looked impressive the few times I have watched him play this season.

Chyg needs time to adjust to the Spanish game. Give him time. Very hard to usurp Pique and Puyol though but its a squad game these days.

Pedro has been a phenom this season. He has 10 goals same as Ibra only bettered by Messi on 11.

    What a strike by Messi

Awful defending. Valdes at fault there.

Saying that the defence should never have allowed that header.

For f**k's sake. I switch it off for a minute twice and miss a goal both times.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,163 ✭✭✭Slash/ED

Barca have been very impressive despite the scoreline. Play like that again in the second half and they should come away with all three.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,552 ✭✭✭Bobalicious93

Right, I'm turning over to Match of the Day now. I fully expect this to finish 6-5 to Depor.

EDIT: Fantastic. Pedro decides to come on now...

You're missing nothing this second half is utter crap. Barca's passing has been awful

    Messi times 2

Barca go ahead with 10 minutes to go, unlucky for Depor to have a player off injured at the time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

    Goal............

    3 - 1

    Ibra

    Good finish.

I thought Barca were heading for a draw or Depor would nick a goal to win.
