Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scanning question

At the moment when I scan a doc or similar it only wants to save it as a jpeg etc. Most times I am scanning in a word doc and when saved as a jpeg it can make the file size very large compared to a normal word doc done and saved on the pc. Is there any software that scan/reads it for what it is

    Cheers

a word document saves each letter as a letter

a jpeg means that each letter is a picture in 24 bit colour

if you want to convert scans to docs use microsoft document imaging add on for office 2003 and later to OCR the text, you may have to change the scanner from jpg to tiff or something
