Why doesn't my signature appear in posts?

I made a signature. Previewed it. It looked fine. I save dit. But it doesn't appear in my posts. What did I do wrong?

Go to your userCP and enable signatures.

Where in the CP would I do this? Oddly the signature appeared in my posts for a brief time then it dissapeared again??
