ok im not saying this to annoy anyone and tell me if you disagree(without just childish insults)

but what if Hogan coming in is a good thing. listen Hogan the wrestler may not be around for long as we can all agree he aint the fittest these days but what about Hogan the boss. why cant he be around for the next 15 years or so??? he could play the "Vince McMahon" role.

TNA being a success on the 4th would be to just make any kind of dent in WWE figures while creating a base to grow stories from. even if they only take 1.5 from WWE if they put on a better show than WWE they can take more veiwers the next time they are head-to-head

i cant see ESPN taking up TNA especially until they get more established. hopefully sky dont have an exclusive clause with WWE

hopefully Bravo will move TNA live aswell

Will that night have NFL as well which will eat into BOTH'S shows ratings? but heh if it does not draw Hogan will have that as an excuse I imagine. :pac:

Think a record number for tna would be a major success either way. Whats that 1.3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,391 ✭✭✭D2D

I think TNA might bring in some new talent like RVD that night seeing as it's live and against WWE.

Actually, Shane McMahon's contract will be up in the New Year, do ye think he will ever go to TNA or, more possibly, UFC????

Will there be a way for us over here to watch the TNA show live? Will it be on Bravo or whatever?

TNA would be stupid not to have it on live.. especially since impact actually doesnt do that much less than raw in the uk tv ratings..

What are the chances that Vince has lifted the phone to Stone Cold already to get him to come in to guest host?

Well there's rumours going round that The Rock or Stone Cold will be guest GM and Raw will be a 3 hour event

I think he's still under contract until Jan 1, 2010.

I think the UFC thing is only rumours but I could be wrong on this

I know this is my 700th post. Yay!!! :D:D

I think it will be a disaster
people are talking like this is guna ne the start of a new Monday night war.
like TNA are comparable to WCW circa 1995
but TNA isn't WCW, WCW at any stage of its life. TNA is ECW circa 95
they're in no position to make a challenge like this

I hope Hogan is smarter than we think and has the common sense that beefcake and the nasty boys don't belong in the ring
and jimmy hart doesn't belong in the recording studio

Hogan has been around the business for 30 years
he's seen Gagne run AWA, Vince run WWE and Bisch run WCW
hopefully he's picked up a thing or two.

Rumours on the internet that WWE might be bothered about TNA prove nothing about what Vince McMahon thinks.

fact is tna has marketability unlike extremely crappy wrestling. tna gets over 1 million viewers a week at a time that wwe has dominated the american consciousness for so long. also wrestling isnt popular there anymore

Not to mention had average PPV buyrates 3-4 times that of TNA's average.

ah yes the 90s a time of high speed broadband. the 00 changed the way world operates. if ecw was here today people would stream it

ECW aired PPV's up till 2001. People had internet then you know. In fact ECW itself was the darling of internet smarks.

You're saying that if downloads weren't available, TNA would be drawimng 3-4 times more? Why then aren't WWE's PPV buyrates down by a similar factor over the same time period?

I reckon more people would stream ecw in Ireland than would attend a live TNA show. About 2000......:pac:

    Sorry :o

because wwe has reached a stage where it is a machine. pro wrestling =wwe for millions. wwe ppvs are down too

2000 is very good for a country wit no wrestling culture and for a promotion which has never had an austin or a rock

They're not down to a quarter of what they were in the late nineties, early 2000's.

    You're fudging the issue.

You stated that TNA was in a different league to ECW, when live attendances at their events AND PPV buyrates tell a totally different story.

Your preposterous excuse that people downloading the PPV's from the internet explains the vast gap between the two is laughable, especially when theres no evidence that this is the case in any other promotion.

You're making a show of yourself bai.

dont get me wrong he was class a long long time ago but WWE ruined him. they needed an afro-american main eventer and just destroyed him with their "creative" staff.

i always said leave the wrestlers have creative freedom. if what they do is crap get rid of them. thats what i like about what hogan is saying with TNA but i just hope he aint lying to get ratings

or ill be soooooooo kinda angry

Raw for me but I'd be a bit interested to see what TNA do. If I wouldn't like it, straight back to Raw.

From talking to people in WWE, there is said to be "pretty much no concern whatsoever" in regards to TNA's Impact going head-to-head with Monday Night RAW on January 4, 2010. There is such little concern about TNA that WWE is not even looking to move RAW to three hours, though there is talk of lining up a strong guest host for the first two weeks of the new year.

Among those in WWE, the general feeling is that TNA president Dixie Carter is "incredibly naive" and that TNA is in for a massive disappointment come January 5th when the ratings come in.

On another note, those on the WWE side were happy in the sense that Hulk Hogan mentioned them during last Saturday's Ultimate Fighter finale because they got free publicity out of it.

Strange, the wwe have the pic of Hogan in the background of the dx skit to advertise the new dvd set? I know the run up to christmas is perfect time to release merchandise like this but it makes me wonder.

Either wwe dont give a feck or there are shananigans going on here.
