Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I was just wondering, how much bandwidth does watching a film or the live streaming take up. on Sky player take up?

    A 2 hour move would be around 1GB.

    It tells you how large the movie is in the extra details. Think most of them are clocking in at around 900mb.

    I think you have the option to download the whole movie beforehand if you are worried about your internet connection causing it to stutter.

    Edit:
    Ah, saw this was for Sky Player and not Zune. Not sure if you can do that with Sky player

    Just did some (probably wrong) maths on this.

    1024mb = 2 hours of film
    therefore 1024/120 = Megabytes per minute (8.533).

    8.533/60 = 0.142

    Therefore you need to be able to download at 142kbps to stream a movie seamlessly.

    You can't download the movie with Sky Player.

    sky player has 3 quality settings, low is like youtube quality, would look okay on a 14 inch telly, and works perfect on a stable 1mb line.

    the high quality setting looks okay on a 32inch telly, and works fine on a 3mb line.

    If you are on a download cap remember to turn it off
