Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have an image I have been asked to print A1, so I want to make sure it comes out well. The image itself isn't a photograph as such (it's an image generated randomly from a photograph of a stained glass window), but I thought that you folks might have an idea of somewhere sufficiently friendly where I could go and actually have a chat about printing on alternative materials? It was suggested to me to use linen, but I'd rather see how it holds colour myself first.

    Image attached:

Obviously colour will be an important factor in choosing material, has anyone got any suggestions themselves?

Ha! I am a fan of Richter but I wasn't aware of this particular work until afterwards. If it makes any conceptual difference, I took photographs of stained glass windows, and used a computer to randomly extract the colours and displace them on a grid. So perhaps it's a little bit different? :P

Do Gunns print on materials other than the usual paper? I want to do something a little bit different, plus I'm not sure if paper would actually suit the image.

Hey Daddio, give Steve (Links/references above!) a ring, he's the chap I used for the prints last year.

I'll be back in Dublin on Friday, let me know if you want me to pop in - You could run some tests on the A3 printer you have in the studio if you had time.

Do you specifically want to run it on a fabric?
