Accident on the N18 before Gort

    Did anyone hear anything about the accident on the road just outside Gort (on the Galway side) earlier about 4pm? There were two ambulances, a fire brigade and loads of guards around. The cars looked in a bad way, the whole side of one of the cars was torn off. An RTE van passed by heading back to Galway just before I passed so I presume it was a big accident if it attracted media attention. Missed both new bulletins so not sure if it made the news.
