    R.I.P. Dime.

My one big regret was never seeing his brilliance live in concert. I was only two days from doing so... :( His music still lives on.

Still pissed off that they pulled out of the 'Planet concert :(

Meh. The dude did some seriously nice riffs, and it's a pity he left the party early.

    RIP Dimebag.

Isn't today also the same date that John Lennon was shot in 1980?

A post such as this requires an appropriate response: It's once a year, get the **** over it, he meant something to some people, and **** you

    RIP Dime

A post such as this requires an appropriate response:

WHo the **** are you? The ****ing Internet police? Im ****ing sick of reading RIP Dime.
    Every.****ing.Year

How about you get over it? eh? For example, Randy Rhoads, excellent guitarist, even better than Sir.Dime, however I dont post RIP Randy on the 19th march. Every.****ing.Year

Get over it. and **** you too.

Fuck the hate. We salute Dimebag each year, as we respect him. You not saluting Randy Rhoads each year is your own choice.

I clearly stated I dont hate the guy. I just think RIP Dime threads are a bit stupid. People move on, if you respected the guy perhaps you would be doing something a bit more thoughtful than a internet thread?

    No need for the arguments.

Kona if you're sick of the threads then that's fair enough, it's easy to just ignore them.

Also,a thread is a good way to pay respect to him. I haven't listened to Pantera in ages, but I'll probably give a few albums a spin after seeing this. So it has made me think about Dime and his music, that's what a tribute should do.

    Its once a year.

Dimebag was a great guitarist and he was shot dead on stage whilst playing a concert.

Why dont you show some respect for the dead instead of throwing your toys out of the cot over a thread that you could easily ignore.

    Did I say he wasnt?

Ha hows this throwing my toys out of the cot? I am having respect for the guy.
Its not about him personally, Its about the amount of stupid RIP threads posted, where people simply post RIP about people they dont know. Its acceptable when they die, you Dont say it year after ****ing year. At this stage hes probably re-incarnated and beginning to rock again.

There's really no need to be a prick about it though Kona, even if you don't agree with it. It means alot to some people. Be a bit more tolerant, or **** off, I reckon thats what people would like.

Its not being a prick about it. Why post It on a public forum. If you respect the guy, say a prayer, light a candle.
Would you post RIP Daddy on the anniversary on a Forum?

Most people who give a **** know what the day is, they dont post it on the internet.

I am tolerant, Ive read a heap of RIP threads, when its years after the actual event, then its getting tedious.

    Twas a pity
I was in fibbers last night and there was barely a soul in the place - let alone a tribute band like there was in previous years. They have redone the toilets in black tiles and fancy mirrors though!

And Kona is the one who gets banned! He was only expressing an opinion,no?

I dont think this kind of behaviour is becoming of a Mod. So much for commenting on the post and not the poster eh?
