    Jesus DID NOT teach us to kill trees for his birthday and regardless of how carbon neutral they are, it is a waste of valuable resources to buy, install and light one of these things to celebrate a pagan fertility ritual chrismas.

    Does anyone know what time the O'Briens Bridge lads pack up? I agree with all the sentiments re dead trees etc ... but would still like to grab a branch to get the smell of Christmas into the house!

    There's also Christmas tree-selling taking place on the side of the old supermarket in Barna. Guy with a white van is selling the trees there.
